Ivo Rowe A Randwick City Council plaque at the pool says that it was named after a local identity Ivo Rowe, and that in 1965 an APEX club project enlarged the pool by filling in a channel. Ivo Rowe lived nearby and older local residents say that he helped to maintain the pool named after him.

This natural rock pool sits on the northern end of Coogee Beach. You'd see it if you were coming down the hill through Dunningham Reserve as you finish up the Bondi to Coogee walk - just look for the old "Giles Gym and Baths" sign and then climb down to the rocks.

The Ivo Rowe Rockpool is one of the smallest ocean pools along the Coastal Walkway. It is a natural, shallow rock pool and perfect for wading or cooling down on a hot day. Be careful as the rocks in and around the pool may be slippery. The best access to the rock pool by car is via Bunya Parade in South Coogee.

Ivo Rowe Pool is definitely a fairly obscure subject. Many photographers have photographed the three other more popular pools in Coogee (Coogee Baths, the Ladies Pool and Wylies Baths). In fact it is a bit of a stretch even calling Ivo Rowe pool a tidal pool at all… it's more like a large rock pool with a chain fence around it.
